The collection contains three letters, 1771-1785, written to Briggs of "Wales," Dinwiddie County, Va., from Robert Alexander, Joseph Jones, and Hannah Poythress; and an account book, 1758-1788, and accounts, 1760-1773, concerning his law practice, and with carpenters, bricklayers, a chairmaker, and others concerning the estate.
